Dashboard Challenge: Creating Dynamic Charts in Less Than Three Minutes

Introduction

Welcome to the last lesson of the Dashboard Challenge! In this lesson, we will learn how to create dynamic charts in less than three minutes. By utilizing data segmentation by year and month, we will be able to filter and visualize our data more effectively.

Data Segmentation

One of the key features we will be using in this lesson is data segmentation. Specifically, we will be creating filters for the year and month. To start, let's modify the year filter to be displayed in three columns. Additionally, let's change the height of the filter for better visibility.

Connecting Filters

Once we have set up our filters, we need to connect them to our dynamic tables. To do this, simply right-click on the report connections and create a connection with all of our dynamic tables. Repeat the process for the other filter as well. This will ensure that our filters are linked to the correct data.

Viewing the Report

Now that we have set up our filters, it's time to view the report. To do this, press Control + Fn + F11 to enter full-screen mode. Feel free to explore the report and filter the information as needed. If you want to filter multiple items, simply press the Control key and select the desired information. To return to normal view, press Control + Fn + F11 again.

Conclusion

Congratulations on completing the Dashboard Challenge! In this lesson, we learned how to create dynamic charts using data segmentation. By connecting filters to our dynamic tables, we can easily filter and visualize information to gain valuable insights. Now you are ready to apply these techniques to your own dashboard projects. Happy analyzing!
